Prefer to listen to this email? JUST CLICK HERE. About three weeks ago I started doing 10 squats every hour on the hour. Not because I suddenly became a fitness person. (I have not suddenly become a fitness person.) But because I read something about how sitting for long stretches is quietly terrible for you and I thought, "okay. Ten squats. I can do ten squats." That's approximately 40 seconds of my life per hour. Even I can manage that. So I set a timer. And then I ignored the timer for about four days straight. Not on purpose. Just life. A podcast I didn't want to pause. The particular kind of inertia that happens when you're deep in something and your body has forgotten it exists. But when you have a timer you've committed to. It keeps going off. So I'd hear it, think "oh right, squats" and do them. Sometimes at the top of the hour. Sometimes twenty minutes late. Sometimes I'd do them twice in a row because I'd missed the last one and felt a little guilty about it. (This is not the recommended approach. But it's the honest one.) And then something strange happened. I'm not sure exactly when. But somewhere around week two I stopped needing to negotiate with myself about it. The timer went off and I just... stood up. I didn't suddenly developed some new iron discipline. My body had just started to expect it. The habit had formed. (and my glutes are feeling it!) This wasn't through willpower. Or even a really motivating podcast episode about becoming your best self. Through repetition that was so small it barely counted. Ten squats. Every hour. Until my body decided this was just a thing we do now. The thing you're trying to build, in your business or in your life, probably doesn't need more motivation. It needs a smaller increment. Not a two-hour content creation block. Twenty minutes of writing, same time every day, until your brain decides this is just a thing you do now. Not a complete website overhaul. One page. Done well. Then the next. Not a total mindset transformation. One thought, examined honestly, until examining your thoughts stops feeling like a big deal. Real change doesn't arrive suddenly. It accumulates quietly until one day you look up and realize you're someone who does the thing. Ten squats at a time. AND.... In between all those squats, I've been working on something else. I've been completely revamping a group experience for you. Intuitive U. I'll be sending more details on that soon. But in the mean time, here's a sneak peek at one of the things I'm adding to this experience. Tara "standing up as we speak" Schafer

Astrology & Resources for entrepreneurs.
Just the Tip Tuesday, and this week the tip is actually a thing I built. I added weekly business horoscopes to my website. Not the "Scorpio, watch your finances" kind. The actual, here's what this week's astrology means for your business decisions, your marketing timing, and your energy kind. Every week, broken down by what matters for solopreneurs and small business owners. Practical. Grounded. Zero crystal-shop vibes. If you've ever wondered whether there's a better week to launch...
It started with a rabbit hole. I was doing what I do at 11pm when I should be sleeping (scrolling my phone, one eye open) and I landed on an article about crows. Apparently they're one of the smartest animals on the planet. (Like, unsettlingly smart. Problem-solving, holding grudges, recognizing faces smart.) And they love shiny objects. I don't know why I felt personally called by this information. But I did. So the next morning I grabbed a handful of Hamish and Angus's kibble, dropped in a...
Shamrock shake season is officially here! You know, The Shamrock Shake from McDonald's. Have you met your yearly quota yet? While my lips are still stained green and I've got a dose of McDonald's brain freeze... let me start by saying hello! AND... I've got some news. (Not Shamrock news, but still fun...) I've officially added The Messy Middle Private Podcast and The Astro Weather to The Cosmic Compass App. "Wait!, what's the cosmic compass app?", you ask. Great question! The Cosmic Compass...
