Let me just say it: If I had a dollar for every time a bro-marketing guru barked, “Consistency is KING,” I’d have… well, enough to hire someone else to pretend to be consistent for me. Here’s a true story from literally last night: I had blocked off time to record my podcast. Mic out. Notes ready. Headphones on. Vibes: Awesome Radio Host! But then I made the mistake of sitting down on the couch for “just a second.” (If you’ve ever told yourself this lie, I see you.) Two hours later, I was still horizontal, wrapped in a blanket, eating tea biscuits, watching Highland cows on TikTok and thinking, “Damn, that one kinda looks like David!” (my Scottish friend) No podcast. No guilt either. Because here’s what else is true… It was still a productive weekend. **I met with two incredible clients. **I shot pool and didn’t turn it into a metaphor for alignment. **I mapped out pieces of my Black Friday / Cyber Monday launch. (Yes, I’m that kind of solopreneur.) So yeah, no podcast. But still showing up in ways that mattered. And that is my flavor of consistency. Not the cold, inflexible, post-3-times-a-day version that gets preached on Instagram. But the kind that’s aligned with your nervous system. The kind that ebbs and flows with your natural energy. The kind that says “I’ll record tomorrow because tonight I need carbs and cow videos.” If your consistency looks a little messy and nonlinear, welcome. You’re not behind. You’re just human. And if you want the unfiltered look at what this life actually looks like behind the curated squares? Because this path isn’t always cute. But it is magical when you make it yours.
